I finished up the "Pull col asymmètrique" yesterday, and started blocking it this morning. It still needs three buttons on the asymmetrical collar. I had a bit of a panic today, as my yarn for Fulmar has not yet arrived from Jamieson and Smith. I thought momentarily about ripping out the fair isle yoke cardigan, since I'm not totally happy with the fit, but decided instead to pull out the seven remaining skeins of that refried-bean brown tweed yarn that my Mom gave me twenty skeins of. I've already knit two Hourglass sweaters out of it. I did some poking around and discovered a pattern that calls for just that yarn in one of the old Vogue Knitting magazines that I've hung on to:
It's a worsted weight Aran style sweater, so it's a good warm up for Fulmar, I think. If I run out of yarn, I may just rip out the hour glass sweater and cannibalize that, as I'm not totally happy with the short row shaping I did at the neckline. Don't tell me the color looks like poop. I already know that.
Speaking of poop, I just ran across another brilliantly stupid song from Raske Menn that is too ridiculous not to share. Good for developing a broader vocabulary for things like "fart," "poop" and "butt":
